2019 Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition

Porsche is upgrading the Cayenne six-cylinder model via a special series known as the Platinum Edition. The Platinum Edition Cayenne and Cayenne Diesel models feature some especially high-quality equipment and offer many of the most-requested options as standard. Externally, the special status of these models is demonstrated by the numerous detailed paint finishes in Platinum Silver Metallic, while an elegant ambience has been created in the interior with exclusive two-tone fittings. Porsche only assigns the Platinum Edition designation to its exclusive, elegant vehicle ranges that are available for a limited period only. The enhanced equipment range available in these vehicles is designed to increase comfort and safety in particular. For example, the Cayenne Platinum Edition models feature the eight-gear Tiptronic S, Bi-Xenon main headlights and Power Steering Plus, as well as the ParkAssist system at the front and rear as standard. The automatic anti-dazzle interior mirrors eliminate the dazzle from traffic behind the vehicle and the privacy glazing (also available as standard) protects the rear passengers from unwanted attention.

Painted in Platinum Silver Metallic, the lateral and central air intake grill fins, the side window strips, the rear spoiler lip and the trim strip on the tailgate create a shimmering effect. The standard colour range includes monotone paint finishes in Black and White, and Meteor Grey Metallic, Basalt Black Metallic and Mahogany Metallic are available as further colour options. The Carrara White Metallic paint finish is also an option available exclusively for this Cayenne edition. The look is rounded off by the 19-inch Cayenne Design II wheels with coloured crest. The Black/Luxor Beige two-tone combination, reserved for this special edition, creates an exclusively elegant ambience in the interior. The vehicles come with a partial leather interior as standard, but a full leather interior is also available as an option. The floor mats, with Luxor Beige edging and Porsche logo, and the front door entry guards with the "Platinum Edition" logo, represent further highlights. The standard SportDesign steering wheel with shift paddles and the embossed Porsche crest on the headrests at the front and rear emphasise the high quality of the vehicle. The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, including a navigation module, is also a standard feature: The PCM includes a high-resolution seven-inch touchscreen and a sound system with 11 loudspeakers and total power of 235 watt. The Cayenne Platinum Edition offers an output of 300 hp (220 kW). In combination with the Tiptronic S, the vehicle's NEDC fuel consumption is 9.9 litres/100 km (236 g/km CO2). The three litre V6 engine in the Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition offers an output of 245 hp (180 kW) and a fuel consumption level of 7.2 litres of diesel over 100 kilometres (189 g/km CO2). The Cayenne Platinum Edition costs 鈧?6,379 and it is 鈧?7,212 for the Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition (including VAT).

On the safety front, standard systems include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning with steering assist, automatic high beam and road sign assist. Available active safety and convenience features are adaptive full speed cruise control, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert and rear-end collision warning. As for the infotainment part, the 2020 Supra brings a standard 6.5-inch display operated by a rotary controller on the center console. The 3.0 Premium grade gets an 8.8-inch touchscreen display with navigation, rotary touch controller, Supra Connect telematics services, wireless Apple CarPlay, a premium 12-speaker JBL audio system, and wireless phone charging. 55,250 for the Launch Edition, which will be the sole trim level initially available in a limited run of 1,500 units. Sales in the U.S. Launch Edition will be offered in Absolute Zero White, Nocturnal Black or Renaissance Red 2.0 paint jobs, with contrasting red mirror caps and 19-inch black matte forged alloys. The first two will get a red leather interior, while the third color option a black one, both with carbon accents. Moreover, the limited run Supras will get a plaque on the passenger鈥檚 side of the dashboard with the car鈥檚 serial numbers along with a graphic of Toyota鈥檚 CEO Akio Toyoda鈥檚 signature.

Although it鈥檚 been quite some time since Aston Martin had a six-cylinder in its range, it appears that the upcoming Aston Martin DBX crossover could be offered with a six-cylinder engine. During a recent event with Australian media, chief creative officer Marek Reichman suggested that a six-cylinder engine from Mercedes-Benz could suit the DBX quite well. While it remains to be seen which Mercedes six-cylinder Aston Martin could be given access to, one likely powertrain would be the M256 turbocharged 3.0-liter petrol inline six recently introduced with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. While this powertrain isn鈥檛 as exciting as the V8 and V12s currently used by Aston, it can produce upwards of 382 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, figures more than adequate for everyday use. While it remains to be seen whether Aston Martin will opt to use such an engine, we do know for sure that the DBX will be the marque鈥檚 first model to be available with a hybrid powertrain. According to the most recent reports, this variant could pair AMG鈥檚 twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 with an electric motor offering up 200 hp. Combined, this could give the hybrid DBX more than 700 hp, making it even more powerful than the Lamborghini Urus. At least one other traditional gasoline-powered model will join the potential six-cylinder DBX. This powertrain will either be the 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 used by the DB11 and producing roughly 600 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque in DBX guise or the aforementioned AMG twin-turbo V8 but without any electrical assist.

Web DevelopmentIf you own an e-commerce business or even have been even remotely involved with one, you'd know that Magento is the preferred name when it comes to frameworks for developing a digital store.

You know why is that? Because Magento has long proven its mettle as the ideal framework for e-commerce companies with a large business. Web DevelopmentWhen one is building a web application, it is important that he/she keeps the performance of the .net application good enough so that the customer he/she wants to sell the application to doesn鈥檛 walk away from the application. The application should be performing in such a way it doesn鈥檛 load too slowly or there is clunky interaction which can cause the customer to look the other way. Why Are Companies Investing in Web Application Development? Web DevelopmentWe no longer live in a world where businesses can get by with independent mainframe systems to collect and look over customer data. Today, companies can't do without CRM solutions. CRM solutions collect customer data, like social media profile, telephone numbers, email, and more. Web DevelopmentMobile Apps have a paramount place in most people鈥檚 lives.

Whether we want to or not, it鈥檚 almost impossible to go about one鈥檚 daily routine without them. Billions of users are interacting with Mobile Apps daily, with almost all of them being on Android or iOS devices. So what is the first thing that the user will see when they boot up an app? Web DevelopmentWe've all heard of mobile apps, but there's now a new concept taking the world by storm -- cloud-powered mobile apps. What are they, you ask. Well, cloud-powered applications are primarily the ones that store their data on the cloud. Web DevelopmentMicrosoft's Office 365 suite of services includes two particularly interesting names: SharePoint and OneDrive. It is not only because of the features and functionalities they offer but also because the differentiation between the two can often seem like a big task for the uninitiated. Why Is The World In Love With Website Design And Development Companies? Web DevelopmentPopularity is what makes you a 鈥榩erson鈥?from a group of 鈥榩eople鈥?- it enables you to get easily recognized. The website plays a crucial role in shaping a distinctive identity and asserts your online presence, which is most important in this digital era.

At some point鈥攖he driver can鈥檛 be sure exactly when because it is all but undetectable and determined by myriad computer-analyzed variables鈥攖he friction brakes are employed, too. Adding complexity to the manufacturing and ordering process, three different braking systems are offered. Iron rotors come standard, Porsche鈥檚 surface-coated brake rotors are one level up, and carbon-ceramic rotors are the top-spec option. This means that the SUV needs specific blending strategies for each of the three systems. Heller says that tuning the regenerative braking system鈥攑inpointing the moving target that is the changeover point from regen to friction鈥攚as the most difficult part of developing the car. All Porsche hybrids get their calipers painted acid green to match the green accents on the exterior badging, but customers can select white or yellow calipers if they like. The interior choices follow the example of the multitude of optional braking and performance systems. Listing every last color, trim, and leather option would make an Antarctic expedition鈥檚 checklist seem scanty.

New Porsche Cayenne Coupe

Porsche鈥檚 newest and sleekest SUV, the Cayenne Coupe, is on display in China at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show, where it will remain until April 25. It comes with plenty of standard features, including a 2.16-square-meter panoramic fixed glass roof. Inside, it has room for up to 5 adults, but clients can order it in the four-seat configuration as well, at no extra cost. The contoured carbon roof and three lightweight sport packages are also available, among many other features. At launch, the Cayenne Coupe is available with two engines: the 3.0-liter V6 with 335 hp and 450 Nm of torque, and the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, rated at 542 hp and 770 Nm of torque in the Turbo model. The latter will get to 96 km/h in 3.7 seconds and has a 286 km/h top speed, while the former needs 5.7 seconds (5.6 sec with the lightweight sport packages) for and tops out at 243 km/h. Last year, Porsche sold more than 31,000 units of the Cayenne in China alone. This represented a 19 percent increase compared to 2017, and with the new Cayenne Coupe out, the automaker expects to reach new heights this year.

2019 Porsche Cayenne First Drive Review

Back to the engines: The base Cayenne is powered by Porsche's 3.0-liter single-turbo V-6 that develops 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, up 40 hp and 37 lb-ft on its predecessor's 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V-6. The Cayenne S gets the 440-hp, 405-lb-ft 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 originally developed by Audi. Power is up by 20 horses compared with the 3.6-liter twin-turbo V-6 of the outgoing Cayenne S, and peak torque is about the same. The Cayenne Turbo boasts Porsche's potent 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8鈥攖he all-new engine that made its debut last year in the Panamera鈥攗nder its hood. All engines drive all four wheels through a revised eight-speed automatic transmission rather than the Panamera's slick and quick new eight-speed PDK dual-clutch. Driver-selectable modes change the transmission's shift protocols to suit mud, gravel, sand, or rocks and also adjust settings for the suspension and differential locks to suit. Standard wheels on the Cayenne and Cayenne S are 19 inches; the Turbo gets 21s. And all get wider rims and wider tires at the rear to improve on-road handling.

Porsche claims the new MLB architecture has led to weight savings of up to 143 pounds, depending on model, despite the addition of more standard equipment across the range. The unibody is a combination of aluminum and steel, with the aluminum used for the body panels, floorpan assembly, and front structure. Adopting a lithium-ion polymer starter battery saved 22 pounds alone. The new Cayenne's exterior design is evolutionary rather than revolutionary, combining forms derived from the previous model with sporty themes from the Macan and luxury flourishes from the Panamera. The Turbo has been given a distinct identity to clearly separate it from its six-cylinder siblings, with a more aggressive front-end graphic, wider wheel arches, and unique quad tailpipes. The Turbo also gets active aerodynamics, courtesy of a movable rear wing integrated into the roof spoiler. The trailing edge of the wing automatically lifts 0.8 inch at speeds above 100 mph (or 1.6 inches if you select Sport Plus mode) to increase downforce on the rear axle. It lifts 2.4 inches if you have the panorama roof open to compensate for a less effective airflow over the roof and snaps up 3.2 inches under heavy braking.

Porsche claims the wing's airbrake effect helps cut up to 79 inches from the Cayenne Turbo's braking distance during a full commando stop from 155 mph. Inside, there's 15 percent more cargo room with the rear seats up and more technology and functionality at your fingertips, but in general terms the new Cayenne's interior execution is, like the exterior, also evolutionary. Signature Cayenne design elements such as the center-mounted grab handles sit adjacent to the stuff repurposed from the Panamera. It's all familiar but sharper, more focused. And that's exactly how the new Cayenne drives. We sampled all three variants on tight and twisting rough-and-tumble roads鈥攕ome of them gravel鈥攖hrough the rock-strewn mountains of Crete, the biggest of the Greek islands. Boasting the biggest increases in power and torque over its predecessor, the new base Cayenne is noticeably quicker on the road than the previous model, though throttle response of the 340-hp single-turbo V-6 is slightly doughy below 2,000 rpm.

More impressive, the new Cayenne is also quieter and more refined, with less tire noise and impact harshness even on the optional 21-inch wheels and tires fitted to our tester. That's the air suspension proving its worth. The 440-hp twin-turbo V-6 in the Cayenne S is crisper at low revs and zings happily to 6,600 rpm. It's a more vocal engine than the other V-6, growling purposefully when you bury your right foot, with a muted crackle from the exhaust on the overrun when Sport Plus mode is selected. Porsche claims the Cayenne S is a second quicker to 60 mph than the Cayenne (4.9 seconds versus 5.9 seconds), and that's easy to believe. Although we'd happily live with a Panamera 4S, any Cayenne but the Turbo is a compromise. Porsche's twin-turbo V-8 is a stormer of an engine, even in this鈥攊ts earliest and, most likely, least powerful iteration. It makes the Cayenne Turbo feel more effortlessly fast, more special than either of its six-cylinder siblings.

But the Turbo felt the more alert of the two on corner entry and punched harder away from the apex. Like the base Cayenne and the Cayenne S, the new Turbo is also quieter and more refined on the road than its predecessor. The new Cayenne drives like a Porsche SUV should drive yet more comfortable than you'd expect. But even with the optional active stabilizer bars, whose 48-volt motors are capable of producing up to 885 lb-ft of twisting force to counter roll through corners, there's simply no disguising the fact it is relatively tall and relatively heavy. Although the lower, lighter Panamera feels comfy and composed when hustled along a twisty two-lane with its air suspension in the standard setting, you'll want to select Sport mode in the Cayenne just to calm the body motions a fraction. So said Ferry Porsche in 1989, when the idea of a Porsche SUV seemed impossibly sacrilegious to the 911 purists. But more than three-quarters of a million Cayenne customers have since proven him right.

2019 Macan Vs. 2019 Cayenne Comparison

Looking at the sizing and dimensions of these two Porsche SUVs, you鈥檒l notice some distinctions. The nimble Macan has a lower curb weight, shorter exterior length, and a shorter body height than its larger sibling. The Cayenne has nearly 8 additional cubic feet of cargo space than the Macan. Both SUVs offer seating for up to 5 passengers. An integrated navigation system comes standard on both the Macan and Cayenne. Parking sensors are found as standard at the front and rear of both SUVs as well. If you鈥檙e the type of driver that lives an active lifestyle, the city-sized Porsche Macan proves to be an excellent choice for its turbocharged power delivery and responsive handling. For those who crave additional cargo and passenger capacity, the Porsche Cayenne makes an excellent companion for an extended weekend getaway. Sewickley Porsche invites you to come experience both the Macan and Cayenne to get a true sense of which one is a better fit for your lifestyle. Our team of friendly and knowledgeable Porsche Brand Ambassadors are ready to help you find the Macan or Cayenne of your dreams.

The system also helps drivers manoeuvre by themselves. Remote Park Assist's 3D Surround View display calculates a 360掳 view using four individual cameras to help with entering and leaving parking spaces and manoeuvring the car. One of the system's major innovations is the perspective-based, three-dimensional display. The manoeuvring assistant with its kerb alert helps prevent collisions in narrow manoeuvring situations where visibility is poor. The function is triggered automatically at speeds up to 10 km/h and displays the parking situation in 3D on the PCM's touch display. If there is a risk of a collision, there is a warning display on the PCM and, where necessary, a steering boost. If the Cayenne is being used for towing, the trailer manoeuvre assistance makes reverse parking much easier. Once the function is activated, all the driver needs to do is simply put the vehicle in reverse and accelerate gently. They can use the PCM's rotary adjuster to continually adjust the angle they would like to place the car in themselves. The image from the reverse camera on the PCM provides appropriate guide lines for orientation. The system activates the steering wheel itself and steers the trailer on the course selected by the driver. Two warning functions that enhance everyday safety significantly complete the package. The disembark warning indicates when cars are approaching from the rear as the door is opened. LEDs flash red in the interior door handles. The disembark warning remains in operation for another three minutes after the ignition is switched off. The function is also based on the sensors in the rear radar, like the exit warning. When parking assistance is activated, this gives a warning of other cars recognised as critical as the car emerges from a diagonal parking space, for example. The warning occurs on different levels - visually on the PCM display, acoustically and, where necessary, by brake shuddering.

What Is The Drag Coefficient Of The 2019 Porsche Cayenne

Lexus have been successful at selling hybrids and plug-in hybrids, but their lineup lacks a proper battery-electric model. However, that could soon change for the luxury auto brand, as a new trademark filing, discovered by AutoGuide, might signal the arrival of a zero-emission UX. Toyota is looking to secure the UX300e moniker with the European Intellectual Property Office. And while sometimes automakers trademark different names to prevent the competition from using them, Lexus鈥?naming scheme scheme tells us that an electric UX might be on the cards. So far, Lexus hasn鈥檛 announced its intention of launching an electric crossover. Nevertheless, the LF-1 Limitless Concept that was presented at the 2018 NAIAS was said to have either a hybrid, plug-in hybrid or even an electric powertrain. Thus, this could鈥檝e been the firm鈥檚 way of initially teasing such a model. AutoGuide reports that the UX300e will probably launch next year, hinting at either a Geneva Motor Show or Frankfurt Motor Show reveal, in spring or fall, respectively. The vehicle, however, allegedly won鈥檛 be available in the U.S.

But with stability control deactivated, throttle inputs create a more tangible sensation of weight transfer on corner exit, along with some controllable tail sliding if summoned more strongly. Get into the flow during a top-up tussle with a knotted road, and it鈥檚 easy to forget you鈥檙e in a roadster thanks to the stiff chassis and sharp steering. Porsche has built what is inarguably the wildest, most capable Speedster in the company鈥檚 history. But somehow that extraordinary performance doesn鈥檛 get imparted in its full sensory glory the same way it does in the closed coupe GT3 Touring, a point Preuninger attributes to tightening sound regulations. 鈥淲e鈥檙e right at the limit of U.S. 鈥?he says, with a not-so-subtle hint of lamentation. It鈥檚 also one hell of a time to be in the aftermarket muffler business.

New Porsche Cayenne 2019 Review

This new third-generation model is based on the same platform that underpins both the Bentley Bentayga and the current Audi Q7. Once again though, Porsche has spared no effort in adapting it to its own needs, and never more so than with the flagship Turbo model tested here. At launch there will be no Cayenne Diesel. Two other petrol models available, however: the standard Cayenne, which uses a 335bhp single turbo 3.0-litre V6, and the more powerful 434bhp Cayenne S, powered by a 2.9-litre bi-turbo V6. With the benefit of twin turbochargers it produces 542bhp and a massive 770Nm of torque (up 30bhp and 20Nm respectively over the old car). This range-topper gains a unique 21-inch alloy wheel design packaged under colour-coded wheel arch extensions, LED head and tail-lights and four exhaust pipes. The new Cayenne is longer than the outgoing car, but lower, too. It鈥檚 a smoothly surfaced, chunky shape, if a predictable one.

The 18-way adjustable sports seats allow plenty of scope for a good driving position, too, and the rear seats recline, while also sliding fore and aft for improve leg or boot space. Speaking of which, the Cayenne now boasts an extra 100 litres of luggage volume, albeit slightly reduced to 741 litres in the Turbo model. For comparison, a BMW X5 offers a 650-litre loadbay - albeit one that is also available with seven seats. Under the skin, the new Cayenne has a formidable arsenal of technology to make it handle better than ever on-road, but also off-road, too. The variable three-chamber air suspension offers greater breadth of control, while there鈥檚 a multi-link suspension setup front and rear overseen by a new 4D chassis control software that monitors everything the car is doing, tailors all the systems accordingly. With torque vectoring, optional electrically-operated anti-roll bars (PDCC), and rear-wheel steering (also a cost extra), the Turbo offers five on-road drive modes, plus Gravel, Mud, Sand and Rock settings.

There are six ride height levels, and while we didn鈥檛 get to try the car off the public highway, our experience with the Bentayga suggest there鈥檚 every reason to believe it should be highly capable. On the road, the Cayenne Turbo sets new dynamic standards for an SUV, with smooth consistent steering that would be accurate enough for use in a proper sports saloon, let alone in a vehicle such as this one. But what鈥檚 really to its abilities are the options of PDCC and electric rear steering. The former not only has an iron grip over the Cayenne鈥檚 body movements during high speed cornering, but perhaps more importantly, slackens everything off when the Cayenne is driving normally on motorways or straight A-roads. This really improves the ride quality and removes the jiggling from side to side that is often so apparent in cars like this. The Turbo is an effortless high-speed cruiser: refined, comfortable, and always with immense power in reserve. The V8 has a subtle rumble when ambling on, but a strident hard-edged roar when extended. Whatever the gear or situation, it never feels as though it is struggling with the Cayenne鈥檚 mass. Moreover, the rear-wheel steering makes the Cayenne astonishingly maneuverable for its size and weight. Although there are plenty of ways to inflate the price of your Cayenne Turbo via the options list, standard equipment is actually very generous. All cars come with heated seats all round and an excellent surround sound stereo, though for a whisker shy of 拢100,000, you expect a few toys. However, with optimistic economy and emissions figures of 24.1mpg and 267g/km, the Turbo will be reassuringly expensive to run.

Wherever he goes he has my business. Made the mistake of not buying my Lamborghini from Lamborghini Houston. Aaron is an awesome guy and I know that I would have been much happier buying from him. But I happened to find one in another state and pulled the trigger on that car. I love the car but next time I'll definitely buy from Aaron. 2019 Porsche Cayenne

Though critics have knocked the fact that the high-end elegant car maker has been dabbling in SUVs, they might close their lips after seeing the new 2011 Porsche Cayenne. One of the crucial evident change is the drive. In former models, the critics were correct, Porsche's SUVs were heavy and didn't have the graceful drive that Porsche owners need. But they have learned lots since their first trial in 2003, and have even gone leaps and bounds from last year's model. This year's model is lighter and much more agile than ever. A 400 pound drop from previous models can contribute to the overall more Porsche-feel. How did they accomplish this unbelievable Biggest Loser like weight reduction? They literally have shown their innovation by being able to cut pounds everywhere. First off, they've used a wide-spread quantity of aluminum in the doors, hood and chassis. Then they went on to the engine, park break, as well as the tires? I had no idea that tires could be made lighter, but somehow they achieved it. The Cayenne's towing capacity is enough for all your kid's friends and their lacrosse equipment (it gets maxed out at about 6,000 pounds).

The V-6 engine makes is just enough car for those beginning drivers, which makes the Cayenne a great SUV to pass down for a Sweet 16 gift-- when the time comes. But in case you are more into saving the world by day and coming home to the family at night, you might want to try the 2011 Cayenne S Hybrid. Yes, that's right, it comes in Hybrid. For all those out of the loop-this will be Porsche's third year making the Cayenne S Hybrid. Coming from an avid Cayenne consumer, the look for these eco savers has only gotten better from the 2009 debut. Now the look- and this goes for all the 2011 Cayenne models- is sleek and also sexy? I wasn't sure if an SUV could be considered sexy, but this transformation is something like The Swan (you know, that reality show that used plastic surgery to turn "ugly ducklings" into "The Swan"). Among the main advantage of going hybrid would be the fuel economy which is about 22/25. The 2011 Cayenne S Hybrid can go from 0 to 60 in 6.1 seconds, which is pretty good. The neatest thing about this model is that it has a parallel hybrid system which means that there is no perception of the various drive modes (gas, gas and electric, and electric). What does this mean for the owner of this hybrid? The best place to go get one is at Park Place, they are friendly and have great customer service.

2019 Porsche Cayenne SUV Pricing, Features, Ratings And Reviews

The redesigned 2019 Porsche Cayenne is one of the most performance-focused SUVs around. Yet at the same time, it also provides a wealth of luxury and everyday conveniences to broaden its appeal. The Cayenne enters its third generation thoroughly redesigned, though it's hard to tell at first glance. It retains the same look and feel as last year, riding on an identical wheelbase with nominal changes to exterior dimensions. The elongated grille and taillights help make it look wider, an effect aided by larger and wider wheels and tires that now come in staggered sizes. There are four trim levels to choose from: the Cayenne, S, E-Hybrid and Turbo. The main difference between them are the engines, with some additional feature content along the way. Standard feature highlights for the base Cayenne include LED headlights, a power tailgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, partial leather upholstery, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen. The Cayenne S adds items such as different 19-inch wheels, a panoramic roof and PASM. The Cayenne E-Hybrid includes PASM and the Sport Chrono package.

The Cayenne Turbo gets you a hugely powerful twin-turbo V8, 21-inch wheels, an adjustable air suspension, high-performance brakes, a sport exhaust system, front sport seats, a simulated-suede headliner and seat inserts, and unique exterior styling elements. Most of the items found as standard on the Turbo can be had as options on other models, which can drive their prices up to those of the turbo but without the outright performance. As unique as the 2019 Porsche Cayenne is, it's not the only performance-minded luxury SUV in the class. 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Arrives With More Electric Range

Porsche will bring plug-in power to the 2019 Cayenne with the introduction of the new E-Hybrid variant. The SUV will combine a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 and a single electric motor to produce a total of 455 horsepower (339 kilowatts) and 516 pound-feet (700 Newton-meters) of torque. A 14.1 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery will give the model a 44-kilometer (27-mile) range in the generally overly optimistic NEDC test. The Cayenne E-Hybrid's electric motor alone produces 134 hp (100 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. It also helps the SUV reach 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 4.7 seconds and achieve a top speed of 157 mph (253 kph). The only available drivetrain consists of an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Multiple drive modes let owners decide how the power gets to the ground, include settings for electric-only motoring or Sport Plus for using as much electrical power as necessary for the quickest acceleration.

In standard form, the Cayenne E-Hybrid comes with a 3.6 kW on-board charger and requires 7 hours and 48 minutes to refill the battery from a 230-volt connection running at 10 amps. With the optional 7.2 kW charger and a 230-volt, 32-amp source, the time drops to 2 hours and 18 minutes. A smartphone amp allows owners to schedule charging remotely, and they can pre-set the HVAC settings, too. Other than the E-Hybrid badge, the only ways to tell the PHEV apart from other Cayenne models will be the Acid Green brake calipers and the extra flap for hiding the charger. Inside, additional settings for the gauge cluster can show state of charge and electricity consumption. Acid Green dials appear on the tachometer and Sport Chrono display. Buyers will get an expanded range of standard equipment, too, that will include the Sport Chrono Package, active suspension management, and Auxiliary Cabin Conditioning. The E-Hybrid will get Porsche's InnoDrive driver assistance suite as an option. The sophisticated version of adaptive cruise control combines data from sensors and maps to adjust the gearing and use of the electric motor for upcoming corners or elevation changes. You'll have to be patient to get one of these PHEV performance SUVs. 1,050 destination fee. All 2019 Cayennes will be available with a few new options, like massaging seats, heated windshield, head-up display, and 22-inch wheels.

Reading time: about 3 minutes. All surviving examples of the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 are special, but this one is more special than most. It was built to a specification laid out by legendary Finnish racing driver Leo Kinnunen, who used it as a personal car while competing in Germany in the Interserie - a popular European motorsport series. 10,000 USD and the executives at Porsche weren鈥檛 at all sure that demand for the car existed. They needn鈥檛 have worried. The model sold out less than a week after first being displayed at the Paris Motor Show, and Porsche would go on to build 1,590 examples over the course of the production run. Porsche offered the Carrera RS in two trim packages - Touring and Sport Lightweight. The Touring package included things like carpeting, a radio and other modern amenities whereas the Sport Lightweight variant was a stripped out racing car designed to be just barely road legal. The performance of the RS (an abbreviation of Rennsport, German for race sport) is remarkable, especially when you consider that this is an air-cooled car build in the early 鈥?0s.

The 2687cc flat-6 was capable of 210 bhp and 182 ft lbs of torque, giving it a 219 bhp per tonne, a top speed of 150 mph and a 0-60 mph time of just 5.6 seconds. The tangerine example of the Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight you see here is special for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that it was built for 24 Hours of Daytona winner Leo Kinnunen. The story goes that Leo ordered the car to do practice runs for the 1973 1000 Lakes Rally in which he was to compete, and perhaps also to practice ahead of the Targa Florio. It must鈥檝e worked, because Leo still holds the all-time lap record for the Targa Florio - beating the previous record by 90 seconds. When specifying this car, Leo ordered it with larger 鈥楽T鈥?style wheel arches to accommodate wider wheels and tires. In the years since it passed from Leo鈥檚 ownership, the car has belonged to a small number of enthusiasts, and it鈥檚 now due to roll across the auction block with RM Sotheby鈥檚 on the 12th of May in Monaco. 2019 Porsche Cayenne Vs. 2019 Porsche Macan

You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Porsche Cayenne as you will with the Porsche Macan, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas. There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Porsche Cayenne will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Porsche Macan, which has a much lower MSRP. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the Porsche Cayenne and the Porsche Macan have similar Destination Charges. Since the Porsche Cayenne is much wider than the Porsche Macan, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. For some people, bigger is better.

If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the Porsche Cayenne, which is slightly longer than the Porsche Macan. Due to its much higher torque, the Porsche Cayenne does a much better job of transmitting its engine's horsepower to its wheels than the Porsche Macan. The Porsche Cayenne has a larger turning radius than the Porsche Macan, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots. If you've got something you need to pull, the Porsche Cayenne will do just as well as the Porsche Macan, since they have about the same towing capacity. When it comes to horsepower, the Porsche Cayenne greatly out-muscles the Porsche Macan. In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Porsche Cayenne and the Porsche Macan. The Porsche Cayenne has a roomier cargo area for putting your bags or other items than the Porsche Macan.

The relationships we had then were more than any money can buy. I am convinced my parents would have not divorced in Europe. Also, on the other side of the Ocean, we had family. So there is a difference between wants and needs. Or, what we believe richness is all about. As I said, I want a lot of stuff. I am really absolutely grateful to be able to love someone and feel that mirrored back to me. I am grateful for my friends which are part of my soul, that I love profoundly and unconditionally. I feel blessed for my physical shape and condition, my health. I am appreciate always that I have a roof, even more than one. I eat almost whatever I want (now I eat whatever I allow myself but that's a different story). I thank God for my freedom and luck to be able to write this. The time that I have is immense and I feel so much joy in knowing that I can enjoy that time.

So, the Jaguar, the Lotus and range Rover are truly extras. So is the brand new High definition whatever else they say about it or the new I-phone or PlayStation. Remember when the pong was trendy? It was a tennis kind of game you paid on TV, just two lines and a ball going back and forth. In this day of age where new technologies appear faster than our own wants change, I don't want to imagine all we are throwing away, and how fast. Where do all our yesterday's wants end up: where is that big garbage can? And it is not like on our computer when we empty the trash and it just vanishes into outer space. All that stuff doesn't make us happy anyway. Maybe, even more, it is serenity that we can develop and that surpasses any happiness. I admit feeling happy when I acquire something I want but that happiness of owning does not die down because I know I don't need it and rejoice all the time of the luck of owning that beautiful thing. So let's remember to take time to be grateful that our needs are met and confuse less the wants with the needs. We don't need the house, we just want it. We don't absolutely need that sweater that is on sale. We don't need more because we get a second one at half price. We just want it. We won't die if we don't have it so it is easier to control the need to buy it.

Our vehicle had the three-person rear seat, however, and we needed it, as we had five on board most of the time. With the optional two-passenger rear seating, you鈥檒l get reclining captain鈥檚 chairs that offer both massage and heat. To make the vehicle quieter, there is acoustic lamination for the windshield and door glass. The premium leather for the interior comes from Scotland, and wood for the cabin trim from 鈥渟ustainable forests,鈥?Land Rover says. The HSE鈥檚 cabin is roomier than that of the previous generation, with an increase of 4.7 inches in rear-seat legroom. The standard models are 196.6 inches long, while the new long-wheelbase models, introduced for 2014, are 204.7 inches long, giving them nearly eight inches more rear legroom than the regular version. The two-piece rear hatch is now power-operated, and can be opened with the remote control for the door locks; only the top three-quarters opens automatically. An aluminum suspension system was designed to give the vehicle more stability and better handling. It no longer has the top-heavy feel of the previous models, something off-road users will appreciate. The Range Rover鈥檚 air-suspension system helps give additional stability during cornering, and allows the vehicle to raise itself up to an additional 5.8 inches off road to clear obstacles. It lowers about two inches from normal highway height to allow for easier entry and exit. A smart-key system allows for pushbutton start and stop of the engine, and there is a system that shuts the engine down while the vehicle is stopped in traffic or at signals. Range Rovers can wade through water up to 35.4 inches deep, and have a maximum of 11.7 inches of ground clearance. We have a state park close by that has a road that runs through a creek, but it鈥檚 just a few inches deep, so we didn鈥檛 give the vehicle a real deep-water test.

Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid (2019)

The new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid is now better suited than ever to driving requirements. Its control system also has a range of different driving modes at its disposal for this purpose. The emphasis is on performance, highlighted by the fact that the Sport Chrono Package is fitted as standard. The driver can toggle between the four modes E-Power, Hybrid Auto, Sport and Sport Plus using the mode switch on the steering wheel. Pressing the Sport Response Button in the middle of the mode switch ramps up the car's responsiveness for 20 seconds, ensuring an even more enhanced performance - for spontaneous overtaking, for example. E-Hold and E-Charge modes are also available. These can be activated via the Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The central console can also be used to activate the Individual driving mode for a custom configuration defined by the drivers themselves. The Cayenne E-Hybrid always starts in E-Power mode.

This prioritises the electric driving experience. Accordingly, the electric engine and entire high voltage system provide the maximum performance of 100 kW (136 hp) and 400 Nm. The driver can adjust the interplay between the electric and combustion engines using a pressure point in the accelerator pedal produced by the control system. Up until this pressure point, the SUV runs purely on electricity. When the driver deliberately surpasses the pressure point, the combustion engine kicks in and provides the system's full drive potential. The new smart Hybrid Auto mode enables the most efficient operation of the Cayenne E-Hybrid in city and intercity traffic. For the ideal combination of electric and combustion engines, the drive control calculates the optimum operating strategy based on driving profile, charge status, topology and speed information. Depending on these conditions, the system selects electric-only driving for situations where it makes most sense in terms of overall efficiency. When a destination is actively programmed into the navigation system, distance from the destination is also taken into account. Depending on the distance yet to be covered, the battery will charge efficiently at higher speeds by shifting the load point.

The driver can manually set the hybrid drive's operating mode using the PCM's Hybrid menu. There, the E-Hold and E-Charge functions can be selected directly as an alternative to Hybrid Auto mode. While the Hybrid Auto mode strives for the most efficient electric driving to minimise consumption, E-Hold mode ensures that the battery's current charge status is deliberately maintained. This energy is then available at a later stage for electric driving or boosting. In the E-Charge mode, the battery is charged while driving using the combustion engine. By shifting the load point, the driver is able to increase the electric range in advance in order to use it in a specific way at a later stage, for example, in an urban environment. The efficiency-focused E-Power and Hybrid Auto modes are only one side of the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid. The driver can experience the other side at the touch of a button in the performance-focused Sport and Sport Plus modes, thanks to the Sport Chrono Package available as standard. The Sport mode offers the classic features of a Porsche car for speedy journeys on roads and motorways.

The drive and chassis switch to a sporty setting. The battery's charge status is kept to a minimum level required to provide sufficient boost potential for sports driving at any time. In Sport Plus, the focus is on maximum sports performance. The drive and chassis are in a performance setting. In the Cayenne E-Hybrid, the Sport Plus also differs from the Sport mode in that the battery charges faster. This enables more frequent boosting for longer. In both modes, the combustion engine remains in operation. In Sport Plus mode, the Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid reaches its maximum speed of 253 km/h. The Cayenne E-Hybrid is a parallel hybrid in which the electric and combustion engines both directly impact the drive train. A new, performance-focused V6 engine with 3.0 litre cylinder capacity and turbocharging acts as a combustion engine. This engine is combined with a new permanent-magnet synchronous motor. Based on the Porsche 918 Spyder, the electric engine has been converted from an internal rotor to an external rotor architecture.

Porsche Cayenne By LUMMA

Yes, another Porsche post but this time we got a special customized ride! This is the 2nd generation Porsche Cayenne fitted with LUMMA body aerokits. In case you didn't know, Lumma is a performance and aero kit company from Germany that cater to all sorts of German cars. Today, I came across this beautiful machine whilst searching for a parking spot. Once I got my parking I quickly jumped out and took a few shots of the car before the owner return to his car. This car is insane! Basically all body panels has something done to it. Can you see the bonnet louvers? That is so wicked! A quick search on the web tells me that this kit is called "CLR 558 GT". Man what a beautiful machine. I believed this owner also owned a red Porsche Boxster S (981) that I posted last year as they both have similar license plate numbers. Two thumbs up to u Sir!

In the US residential vehicles are situating admirably. Buick had a genuine effect with its Envision extravagance SUV, and Cadillac XT5 is among the pioneers in the fragment. Extravagance divisions of Japanese organizations are getting ready new models also. Honda鈥檚 top-notch branch Acura will be there with RDX conservative SUV, Nissan dispatches Infiniti QX50, and Lexus NX is Toyota鈥檚 reaction. For the greater offer of the market, Jaguar F-Pace and Land Rover Discovery are likewise in the amusement. Since the Porsche is the organization with a high notoriety in the exceptional section, their endeavors are continually causing a great deal of intrigue. Obviously, their past work and vehicles are giving the lift, since everybody recognizes what鈥檚 in store from their items. Then again, these desires are constantly higher, so the carmaker must stay aware of developments and levels of popularity. The 2020 Porsche Macan will be one of the vehicles that will fulfill the extravagance SUV showcase. No matter how much i feel i have mastered dealing with Change, something new always takes me by surprise. Irrespective of anyone's personal preference about Change, today's workplace reality is that in the end, there is not much choice but to embrace change. The choice is only if you want to do it Half-heartedly or completely with full devotion. I had recently read Vineet Nayar's Employees First Customers Second for the second time in the month gone by. I would rate this book as epic in bringing about a positive change in the organization. It questions the traditional way of running an enterprise and shows how a management which is devoted and caring for its employees can bring about a change that鈥檚 not only makes employees happy but also increases the company's bottom lines. The greatest value for a Knowledge based organization is brought about by the employees who deal directly with Customer in the group and not by a CEO sitting in his fancy office. It is important for the organizations to have clarity on where the core Value Zone lies.

It reminds me of one of the blog posts i wrote a while back on What is your Touch-Time as a Software Tester ? The traditional hierarchy followed in Organizations in which an Employee is accountable to his Manager is a farce as far as Knowledge economy is concerned. Every responsible soul in the Organization should be accountable to the value Zone in the Organization. In the current Knowledge economy, we have somehow taken the current Organization structures for granted. One cannot reach Point B in Organization (or Life) without knowing where Point A is. Point A is of course the Status Quo and Point B is the vision. More often than not we fail to capture the Point A correctly. Having an unbiased picture of point A is important to succeed. People tend to get so much lost in past glory that they sometimes fail to find the opportunities to improve in the current situations. While we should respect the past glory, It is important to break that past image if we were to maintain our competitive advantage.

The 2019 Porsche Cayenne V-6 Is Astoundingly Good

The 2019 model's incrementally tweaked exterior includes slightly broadened haunches, newly staggered wheels, and a width that grows by 0.9 inch. Inside, the Cayenne gets Porsche's latest multimedia interface, a 12.3-inch proximity-sensor-equipped central touchscreen that is complemented by two seven-inch screens around the centrally positioned analog tachometer. It offers a customizable menu that enables widget-style access to radio, navigation, and other items on the home page, and is easy to operate at first blush. Yet while the look is clean, the system wants for an easily accessible control wheel or touchpad, and the flush, haptic "buttons" lack the tactile satisfaction of physical switchgear. Thankfully, the new Cayenne is more gratifying to drive than its infotainment is to operate. While the standard 19-inch wheel setup (up from last year's 18-inchers) offers sharper maneuverability, the Pirelli P Zero-clad 21-inch option helps the Cayenne corner with an agility that belies its footprint. 3,490 option not to be confused with the even pricier carbon-ceramic PCCBs.

Using a massive, 16.3-inch surface area up front with a monster 10-piston caliper, the rotors are coated with a proprietary tungsten carbide material that creates an attractive mirrored surface, sure, but more importantly provides outstanding heat dissipation. Beyond that, the PSCBs also deliver superior pedal feel while producing 90 percent less brake dust than standard stoppers. It takes some time to acclimate to the pedal sensitivity鈥攁t first, we decelerated with neck-snapping vigor鈥攚e figure owners will get used to the short pedal travel and move on. Regardless, the system works quite well and is highly likely to steal interest from the considerably more expensive carbon-ceramic option. When considered as a whole, the entry-level Cayenne is a very satisfying vehicle to drive, with our only misgiving being its steep cost for those who want even a modicum of options. 84,240 sticker despite its lack of many leather interior trimmings, uplevel audio, and the Sport Chrono package. OF course, Porsche's pricing tactics and long list of a la carte options underscore why it is one of the most profitable car companies in the world and why it is likely to remain so for the foreseeable future. Of course, it helps when the products are very good at their core, and the new Cayenne is certainly that. That it continues to fund development of amazing sports cars is at this point a cherry on top.

Bologna's Marconi International Airport is on its second Lamborghini Huracan. Flair is an adjective often applied to Italians and Italian culture. Whether it鈥檚 a discussion about fashion, food or architecture, Italians are known to make sure it鈥檚 memorable. This isn鈥檛 limited to the aforementioned areas as we鈥檙e just learning. The Bologna Guglielmo Marconi International Airport is ensuring it incorporates some style into its daily operations, like guiding large jets around the airport. Commercial airliners follow a 580-horsepower Lamborghini Huracan complete with a sign that reads 鈥淔ollow Me.鈥?The car isn鈥檛 just for show, it performs a vital service and puts in a full day, seven days a week. In fact, it鈥檚 worked out so well, the Huracan is was just repainted with a new color scheme designed ot better catch the view of pilots. Previously, it had been a mix of yellow, black and white, but the new model primarily a charcoal color with bright yellow, white and black accents. New Lamborghini Huracan Performante blows into Geneva. The responsibilities of driving an Italian supercar around an airfield might be construed as a cushy job, but it鈥檚 not one to be taken lightly. The vehicle is currently driven by the ground control marshal.

On second thought, the Carrera S is lighter and there鈥檚 a nice, though tidy, rear-end wiggle on exit if you like that kind of thing. If you鈥檙e in the market, make sure to drive them both. With all the new tech on board there鈥檚 also one of the coolest smart phone apps we鈥檝e seen in a while - called Porsche Track Precision App - basically, your own private track coach, seriously. It allows your phone to track your laps via GPS, but with a steering wheel overlay and all the other performance data in order for you to compare the laps and where you might improve. The torque split in the four-wheel drive version comes from a multi-plate clutch in the front diff that now has its own cooling system and is electronically operated rather than electro-hydraulic. The advantage comes from quicker and sharper response rates. Oh, and with your rear-steer 911 you鈥檒l also get lithium-ion batteries because of the higher voltage demand of those cars, whereas the two-wheel drive cars get lead acid batteries.

The Beijing Motor Show 2014, otherwise known as the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition, is one of the most important dates in the motoring calendar. Highlights at the show included the already-revealed Audi TT off-road concept, Peugeot's EXALT coupe, the stylish Citroen DS5 LS R, the Mercedes SUV Concept Coupe and a Bentley Hybrid concept. Read on for our round-up of each big model at the Beijing Motor Show 2014 and all the news that came from this year's show. That's right - nearly 400bhp in a Volkswagen Golf hatchback. It features the same 2.0-litre TSI engine but it has been heavily revised to produce 395bhp and 450Nm of torque - up from the standard model鈥檚 296bhp and 380Nm output. At this moment in time VW has stated there are no plans to develop a production model. The facelifted VW Touareg has gone on display at the show. Subtle exterior and interior styling tweaks along with new tech have all been added to Volkswagen鈥檚 largest SUV, which will go on sale in August.

A reshaped front bumper and new bi-xenon headlight design at the front, round the back a new rear bumper, redesigned diffuser and LED rear fog lights integrated into the bumper make up the bulk of changes. Volkswagen also announced that it would soon make a decision about a new budget brand it's planning to tackle the Chinese market. This is the Hyundai ix25, a new compact SUV that has debuted at the Beijing Motor Show. The ix25 is expected to go on sale later this year for the Chinese market only. The Audi TT Offroad Concept points to a production car likely to be badged Q4, and adds traditional SUV styling cues to the sporty profile of the recently unveiled TT. 2 set-up with the rear seats capable of folding down at least partially. Controls are focused on the wheel, freeing up the dash for a cleaner look and suggesting a driver-oriented experience.

Power is expected to come from an e-tron plug-in hybrid system that鈥檒l drive all four wheels, although Audi has remained tight-lipped on performance figures. The Lexus NX has made its debut at the show. The Audi Q5 and Range Rover Evoque rival is based on the bold LF-NX concept we saw at last year鈥檚 Frankfurt and Tokyo motor shows. The NX retains the large spindle grille and aggressive split headlights inspired by IS F Sport saloon, but the concept鈥檚 radical styling appears to have been toned down slightly. Designed to slot below the next-generation RX in the Lexus line-up, prices are expected to start from around 拢30,000 when it goes on sale later this autumn. Based on the Mulsanne saloon, this Bentley Hybrid concept previews the plug-in hybrid powertrain that will debut in Bentley鈥檚 forthcoming SUV from 2017 before making its way across the range. Bentley hasn鈥檛 been forthcoming with numbers, but official hints claim an increase in power of 25 percent and a drop in CO2 emissions of 70 percent.

2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid

The 2019 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid doesn't boast about its plug-in hybrid, eco-friendly credentials. Instead of a big charge port conspicuously placed on one front fender, the Cayenne has matching covers for fuel or electricity on either side of the vehicle. They're part of its dual-nature: one part a high-performance crossover SUV that's just a hair slower the Cayenne Turbo; another part looking toward an electrified future where internal combustion engines may be outlawed in urban environs. To achieve the latter, Porsche pairs a turbocharged 3.0-liter gasoline V-6 with an electric motor fed by a 14.1-kwh lithium-ion battery pack tucked under the cargo area. The lithium-ion battery pack is composed of eight modules consisting of 13 prismatic lithium-ion cells each for what Porsche says is similar packaging, but a higher energy density than the unit used in the previous Cayenne hybrid. Charging times vary based on either the standard 3.6-kw onboard charger or the optional 7.2-kw unit. The less powerful charger feeds a depleted battery in about 7.8 hours using a 10-amp, Level 2 charger.

Find a 32-amp Level 2 connection and the 7.2-kw charger slices that time to just 2.3 hours. For well-heeled crossover SUV shoppers in Europe, the Cayenne E-Hybrid provides proper town-and-gown experiences. Its 27 miles of electric-only range from a full battery can be saved using an E-Hold mode for urban use in emissions-free zones. An E-Power mode keeps the vehicle in electric-only mode. We'll have to wait until EPA testing closer to the Cayenne E-Hybrid's on-sale date early next year for fuel-economy estimates on the more stringent cycle stateside. Interestingly, the Cayenne E-Hybrid features an E-Charge drive mode that uses the gas engine to drive the car and charge the lithium-ion battery simultaneously. The Cayenne E-Hybrid's positioning within the Porsche lineup is unique. 3,000 less than the Cayenne S鈥攁nd it's both more powerful and faster. Porsche says that the powertrain's combined output is 455 horsepower and that its 516 pound-feet of torque comes on at just 1,000 rpm. Power goes to all four corners via an 8-speed automatic transmission, and Porsche says that the gearbox's two highest ratios have been designed specifically for highway fuel-efficiency. Moreover, the Cayenne E-Hybrid comes standard with the Sport Chrono package that's optional on other Cayennes. The package includes unique drivetrain settings for improved performance.

Ferruccio Lamborghini, Italian industrialist (born April 28, 1916, Cento, Italy鈥攄ied Feb. 20, 1993, Perugia, Italy), founded a luxury car company that produced some of the fastest, most expensive, and sought-after sports cars in the world. Lamborghini worked as a mechanic in the Italian army during World War II, and after the war he started a tractor company to build farm implements using recycled parts from Allied army surplus and abandoned German tanks. In 1963 he opened a state-of-the-art factory to manufacture a sports car that would challenge the top-ranked Ferrari high-performance cars. The innovative Lamborghini 350GT debuted that year, and three years later the company surprised the automobile industry with the Miura, a low-slung, V-12 two-seater that could exceed 298 km/h (185 mph). By the end of the 1960s Lamborghini鈥檚 luxury sports cars were in demand by sports car enthusiasts and by celebrities impressed with the cars鈥?quality and panache. In 1973 Lamborghini sold his share of the firm and retired to a country estate in Umbria, where he established an automobile museum, cultivated grapes, and produced premium table wine.
