Lamborghini Crashes Into Teenage Girls In Adelaide鈥檚 South

A luxury car owner has been charged after allegedly killing a 15-year-old girl and seriously injuring another when he lost control of his Lamborghini and crashed into them in Adelaide鈥檚 southern suburbs. The white Lamborghini left Morphett Road in Glengowrie, mounted a kerb and hit Sophia Naismith and her best friend, both aged 15, before crashing into the House of Tien restaurant just before 10pm on Saturday. SA Police say the driver was in the car with his wife when the incident occurred. Paramedics rushed to the scene and treated both girls, but Sophia, from Seaview Downs, died. The other girl, from Richmond, was rushed to Flinders Medical Centre with serious injuries but her condition is not considered life-threatening. SA Police arrested a 37-year-old Elizabeth North man and charged him with death by dangerous driving and causing injury by dangerous driving. Dozens of people who knew Sophia visited the crash scene on Sunday to pay their respects.

Daisy Page, 16, was a schoolfriend and described her as 鈥渢he most caring, nicest girl ever鈥? She said Sophia and her best friend, who was the other teenager injured in the crash, were inseparable. 鈥淭hey were just the nicest girls,鈥?she said. 鈥淭hey always put other people before themselves. Daisy said the incident was 鈥淛ust devastating鈥? 鈥淲e鈥檒l always remember all the happy memories we had of her,鈥?she said. Chloe Bramley, 15, played netball with Sophia and said she was 鈥渉appy all the time鈥? She said her teammate excelled at the various sports she played, including soccer and volleyball, and was also a high performer at school. 鈥淪he could do it all,鈥?Chloe said. Piper Window also attended the same school and was shocked at what had happened. 鈥淪he was really caring 鈥?smart and sporty. Her family is really close. 328,888 on a car sales website. The car鈥檚 owner wrote, 鈥渢his has been by far one of the best Supercars I鈥檝e owned & in my opinion more fun the LP610-4鈥? House of Tien owner Kiet Tran had closed the restaurant and was cleaning up when the crash occurred.

He said the car also hit a sign post and a tree before it crashed into his restaurant. 鈥淲e were cleaning up 鈥?and) I heard a big bang 鈥?The car went into my front door,鈥?he said. Mr Tran said he and the driver checked on the girls but he immediately knew Sophia had died. 鈥淚 said 鈥榮he鈥檚 gone鈥?鈥?he said. 鈥?The driver) tried to pick her up and I said 鈥榥o, don鈥檛 touch her鈥?(because) we鈥檙e not professionals. Mr Tran said the driver waited for police to arrive. He said a female passenger of the Lamborghini was in shock after the incident. 鈥淪he was crying and yelling and was really losing control,鈥?he said. Mr Tran offered his condolences to Sophia鈥檚 family. 鈥淢y heart is bleeding for her,鈥?he said. 鈥淚 feel bad for the parents. Neighbours of the driver said he was known for the distinctive white car, but that he rarely actually drove the car on the streets. 鈥淚 barely heard it,鈥?one neighbour said. The Advertiser understands the charged man had attended the Wintertime Show and Shine car event at the Westfield Marion shopping centre prior to the crash. A person at the event, who did not wish to be named, said he saw the Lamborghini on show. 鈥淚 saw his car. It was just parked there, nothing out of the ordinary,鈥?he said.

Volkswagen offered a Golf R Mk6 Cabriolet, but a very poor sales performance meant a Mk7 version never saw the light of day. The Golf R hatchback came with a choice of either a manual or automatic transmission, but the Estate was offered in DSG auto form only. Some owners have been irritated by the issue of squeaky door rubbers. Applying some Gummi Pflege is the easiest solution to this problem. The wheels on all Golf Rs can suffer from corrosion, while the 19-inch rims can also buckle if the car runs through too many potholes. There are no surprises inside the Golf R; it鈥檚 clearly laid out and very well made. As a result, this car鈥檚 cabin is an absolute breeze to live with. Facelifted models from April 2016 get a digital dashboard that looks much smarter than the previous set-up. Boot space stands at 340 to 1,233 litres - 37 litres less than in a front-wheel-drive Golf - but the Estate offers extra room for those who need it.

You can buy a nearly new Volkswagen Golf R for between 拢17,250 and 拢37,290 on our sister site BuyaCar. Golf R owners can choose fixed or variable servicing. The former is set at 12 months or 10,000 miles; the latter allows up to two years and 18,000 miles between checks. Expect to pay 拢144 for an oil change, 拢232 for an intermediate service and 拢376 for a major inspection. The pollen filter (拢34) should be replaced at each service, and the oil in the four-wheel-drive system鈥檚 Haldex coupling should be changed every three years; budget 拢79 for this. There鈥檚 no cambelt to replace, but after every 40,000 miles the oil in a DSG transmission needs to be renewed. This job costs 拢199. The Golf Mk7 has been recalled five times. Recalls have been issued for wheel bearing and lighting failures, faulty child locks on the rear doors and airbag problems, plus ESP and anti-lock braking glitches. While the Golf R doesn鈥檛 get its own dedicated entry in our Driver Power satisfaction surveys, the ordinary Golf Mk7 performed strongly in this year鈥檚 new car poll, ranking in 18th place, and finished 14th in the used car survey. It scores well in every category, and although its lowest rating in both polls is for running costs, the Volkswagen still beats many rivals here.

Girl Dies After Being Hit By Lamborghini Outside Adelaide Chinese Restaurant

A 15-year-old girl has been killed and another teenage girl has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a Lamborghini on a footpath outside a Chinese restaurant in Adelaide. Both girls were treated by paramedics at the scene. Sophia Naismith, 15, of Seaview Downs, died, while the other girl, a 15-year-old from Richmond, was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with serious but not life-threatening injuries. Police said the driver of the car, a 37-year-old man from Elizabeth North, allegedly lost control of the white 2016 Lamborghini Huracan, which mounted the kerb and crashed into the front doors of the restaurant. He has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing injury by dangerous driving. He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court next month. It had been at a Wintertime Snow & Shine event at the nearby Westfield Marion shopping centre before the crash. The owner of the restaurant, Kiet Tran, was cooking when he heard a "big bang". He then saw the dying girl in his car park and covered her with a tablecloth. He felt bad for the girl's parents. SA Police's acting officer in charge of the Traffic Support Branch, Damien Epps, said investigators would look at whether "the manner of driving" and speed were factors in the crash. Acting Superintendent Epps said.
